Southeastern Martial Arts Hall of Fame Nomination Form 

The Southeastern Martial Arts Association and the Southeastern Martial Arts Hall of Fame where founded in 2005 by Arnaldo Lugo with the help of Wayne G. Lyles and Soell Lugo to promote the Martial Arts, to bring Martial Artists together and to help recognize Martial Artists for their outstanding achievements, contributions, and hard work.

On December 17, 2011 the S.M.A.A. will be hosting the Southeastern Martial Arts Hall of Fame awards banquet at the luxurious Gaylord Palms Resort in beautiful Central Florida just minutes from Walt Disney World. The awards banquet will be hosted immediately following the SMAA's US Martial Arts Games.

       The Southeastern Martial Arts Association is currently accepting nominations for the 2011 Southeastern Martial Arts Hall of Fame in the following categories:

American Eagle Lifetime Achievement Award

This is the highest level of recognition issued by the Southeastern Martial Arts Association.

Nominee must meet all of the following requirements to be considered for this award:

• Must have given a lifetime of commitment to the martial arts.

• Must be a Master level instructor with over 25 years at black belt level.

• Must be the Founder of a Martial Arts Organization which promotes the martial arts under a positive light.

• Must be nominated by a minimum of three (3) Martial Arts Masters for consideration.

• Must have a Military or Law Enforcement background.

Four Diamond Lifetime Achievement Award

• Nominee must have over 40 years as a Black Belt to be eligible for award.

Triple Diamond Lifetime Achievement Award

• Nominee must have over 35 years as a Black Belt to be eligible for award.

Double Diamond Lifetime Achievement Award

• Nominee must have over 30 years as a Black Belt to be eligible for award.

Diamond Lifetime Achievement Award

• Nominee must have over 25 years as a Black Belt to be eligible for award.

Gold Lifetime Achievement Award

• Nominee must have over 20 years as a Black Belt to be eligible for award.

Silver Lifetime Achievement Award

• Nominee must have over 15 years as a Black Belt to be eligible for award.

Bronze Lifetime Achievement Award

• Nominee must have over 10 years as a Black Belt to be eligible for award.

Goodwill Ambassador of the Martial Arts

Man of the Year Award

• Only one award will be presented.

Writer of the Year Award

• Only one award will be presented.

Woman of the Year Award

• Only one award will be presented.

School of the Year Award

Founder of the Year Award

• Only one award will be presented.
