The Southeastern Martial Arts Association is a limited liability company registered with the State of Florida founded in 2005 by Arnaldo Lugo, Soell Lugo, and Wayne G. Lyles. The SMAA’s vision is to build individuals who are strong in body, mind, and spirit by providing an educational, positive, and productive training experience in a safe environment.

         To better serve our members Arnaldo Lugo, SMAA CEO, has put into place the SMAA International Business Honor Society. This was a necessary move, as a result of the growth of our organization, in order to continue to provide the best professional service. The objective of the SMAA International Business Honor Society is to promote the martial arts in the best possible light by playing key roles in the growth of the SMAA and its partners.

What is the SMAA’s International Business Honor Society?

         Think of the SMAA’s International Business Honor Society is a worldwide network of professionals which include business owners, law enforcement & corrections instructors, investors, doctorate graduates, and martial artists, along with strong partnerships with other martial arts organizations that share the values, vision, and mission of the Southeastern Martial Arts Association.

         Members of the SMAA’s International Business Honor Society do not run the Southeastern Martial Arts Association but serve as professional advisors in their individual fields and as ambassadors of the martial arts.

How are members selected?

         In order to be inducted into the SMAA’s International Business Honor Society one must be nominated for consideration by SMAA International Business Honor Society member in good standing. All nominations must be approved by the SMAA CEO or his designee.
